Dragon's Daily Habits

Has anyone ever thought how dragons would actually act? Yes, this may be stupid, but how do they find a proper den? How do they organize their kingdoms? LET'S TALK ABOUT IT. AND THINK ABOUT STUFF. YEAH!

Like, they would preen themselves if they had feathers, find a way to clean themselves if they had scales, chew if they had fur.

Arcke would spend about 2 hours scratching his HUGE wings from itch and same would probably go for other dragons and if they had fur cleaning it with water won't be... Good at all

(This is Solstice btw) Imagine how bad a dragon with fur bathing would smell. xD Like wet dog. Imagine the smell of Silver bathing o.o.

O.o please don't, luckily Arcke is mostly scales so his good! Uh does dragons have soap? XD and how do we have dragon equivalent tooth brushes or is it natural our teeth is super clean

I think their teeth would be gross. Maybe there's something they chew on, like bones or something, that keeps them clean? And so that they can grow? I bet something like that.. Maybe they are naturally clean because of their magical powers. That's something to debate about. And Solstice preens her feathers, and puts them in her nest so that it stays warm and comfortable for her kids. It's also so that they stay clean and perfect for flight.

Arcke takes actual baths and has not problem bathing, teeth... Teeth... Won't dragons that fly at high speeds have the wind literally just blow the bacteria and dirty stuff on the teeth away? And dragons have strong teeth for it to be used as a weapon too

I don't know. They'd have like bugs in their teeth and stuff. xD I think that they have to take care of them some how, but I don't know how. And if Solstice bathed in water, she would be all floofy. Very puffy. Puffy as puffy can be.

Maybe they clean themselves like hamsters or cats do, with their tongues. And I think something about Solstice's 0- F degree aura would keep all bacteria dead.

Lick themselves clean......... AGH TOPIC CHANGE! So the. What about fur overgrowth? Some animals with fur grow to much so pets require humans to cut the fur from time to time

Maybe their claw at it, or have a mate/sibling/friend groom them. They wouldn't trust humans to come at them with scissors. I think that a gentle pull with teeth or some licking could bring out old, dead fur, and as for clipping, maybe it can only grow to a certain extent, like some dogs. Fur isn't hair, so it can only grow to a certain length. Hair can grow endlessly, like poodles.

Yeah! Maybe hatchlings play games, like having little races, or see what powers go to who, or play fight. And adult dragons probably do races too, play fight, spar, read, practice spells, chat, maybe have some dragon style parties.

I think she would have parties with mustache penguins. I swear, that's actually how she acts. She also likes to travel and have fun with her kids. Of course, remember, she DOES have kids, seven of them, so she has limited activities she can do.

How do dragons organize themselves into kingdoms, and how do they decide who gets to be leader? Why is it like that, anyway?

UHHH I think the dragon gods is there to be in the ceremony for the new leader and I think it's sorta like the government thing, everyone gets a vote

Indeed, other dragons did observe humans other than Arcke and his past, but dragons didn't FULLY replicate the humans

Maybe they took some of the human's habits and adjusted them to fit their own culture. How do dragons decide which tribe to be in? Does it have to do with elements, if they weren't born into that tribe? or what?

I think it is mostly their biology, Arcke has big wings and is fast so SkyWings would be best, Trin is a ice user so Icewings and etc.

Ah... but what if a dragon has say, three tribe attributes? Like one power from three tribes. How do they chose?

I think they would choose their most preferred element, like if one uses fire over the others they should go for firewing, if one uses wind powers and agility they should go for SkyWings and upon others
