We Don't Know What To Call This But Its Happening (Private with Pyrrhus)

Post by Ignatius Sikum on Tue Apr 19, 2016 7:23 pm

First topic message reminder :

Groaning, Tempest stretched out her front legs similar to that of a cat as she gently tried to stretch her tired muscles. Right now, she somewhat regretted going out into her territory as there were so many things which could go wrong. Rogues, dragons, humans, almost anything could decide that they wanted her dead. She had originally reasoned that no one would want to pick on a dragon as large as her-she was probably one of the largest FireWings around. She was rather tall and her tail was incredibly long as it snaked across the ground behind her.

She wandered through the plains. They were bare, scarce and void of anything which could be living with large rocks protruding from the ground. Groaning, she continued on her way. How could a Queen get lost out here? They were probably worried for her back at home. Sadly though, Tempest couldn't figure out which direction was which on this cloud covered day, the sunlight barely getting through the clouds. If she could pinpoint where the sun was, Tempest knew that she may be able to get home, but there was no way that was going to happen easily. For now, she wandered the plains of the earth, trying to find something she recognized.

Tempest slightly pulled back, surprised that there was a tiny little fuzz ball there-who fell over in either surprise or confusion. Or horror. Tempest, however waited to reply, her eyes keenly watching as that monster ran down her counter, and into a rather large mouse-sized hole. She sighed, knowing that she wouldn't be able to get there, but then her mind took her back to what the little fuzz mountain had just said. However a slight frown was on her face.

How didn't she realise he was there? And why.. Why did he call her 'Mast'? Her mind tried to think of what that was short for, but the only thing which the FireWing could come up with was 'master', but she had no idea why he would have called her that. Realising that she had kept the scared fuzzy creature waiting, she hurried to answer. Her expression softened, a slightly apologetic look in her eyes as well. "I am sorry for startling you.. It was just the monster mouse which keeps eating half of my food. If I had known you were there, I wouldn't have snarled. Are you alright?"

Tempest raised her tail, making sure it wasn't on fire, and gently helped the small reptilian form his startled position (if he hadn't gotten up before hand). She smiled to them, then her glance looked to the hole. I am going to have to patch that up... Tempest mused slightly, but she had no idea what that mouse wouldn't destroy, especially if it managed to cut through rock.

The Reptilian breathed heavily the more his mind dwelled on the thought of the Nightwing Invasion. He hadn't noticed the Firewing pick him up and set him on the ground. He hadn't noticed anything happened around him at all. He stared at the wall, but the only thing he saw was his imprisonment.

His breath was staggered and heavy now. Pyrrhus's face had a deep look of pain on it as all he saw were the horrors of war. It wasn't even a major conflict, with little bloodshed, but he had still seen the major impact on those displaced by it. He trembled slightly.

And then he did what he never would want to. He collapsed to his knees and cried. He... Cried... Broke down... Failed... He had failed... He let himself go to waste. He fell into a state like this just because of a snarl... He was a failure...

Tempest was confused as to this sudden change. Did she cause it? Inwardly, she knew she had and felt incredibly guilty for hurting the little fuzzy creature the way she had. But one thing she didn't understand was how she cause such emotions to spill forth from the small little reptilian. Unsure of what to do, Tempest gently purred, quietly and softly to try and reassure the small fuzz bucket.

She shifted slightly, her head gently nuzzling the crying figure as he cried. Tempest gently licked him, feeling gut wrenched that she had done this. "I am sorry little one.. I didn't mean to upset you or scare you.." she spoke quietly, but honestly had no idea how to comfort the crying little bundle of fur. "I didn't mean to do this to you young one."

Tempest felt that all she could really do was hug the small creature-but how was she mean to when he was 1/20th of her size?

Pyrrhus was a wreck for a little while after. He let his emotions get the best of himself. Tempest tried to comfort him as they stayed in the darkness of the kitchen. Normally comforts would of worked when he was down, but nothing can repair mental scars... Not even the best of tactics they had could stop from what he'd seen. An all out war machine they called the Nightwing empire...

He eventually cleared his head of the thoughts he was having. From here he sat in silence and darkness on the mount next to the Firewing. He knew he shouldn't of done what he did, but he couldn't help it, no matter the physical or mental strength something had nothing could stop memories like that. He was ashamed of himself, he make himself look weak... Like he was nothing infront of a creature that had great power. It was his biggest shame... Compared to them he was weak...

More minutes passed as he sat there, not knowing what to do... He made himself look like a damn fool. He just wanted to forget that any of that happened and just moved on, but he knew she'd ask. And he'd have to tell her... He wanted to be strong... He tried...

Tempest gently nuzzled the little fuzz bucket again, trying to calm him. But eventually, they seemed to settle on their own, however her soft purr didn't fade as they slowly stopped shaking. She gently and slowly lifted her wing to drape it over the little fuzz ball to enclose him, as if she was trying to block out the rest of the world who seemed so against him at the moment.

She waited a few more minutes until her curiosity won. Tempest had to know what that was about, no one would ever break down like that without a very good reason. She wanted to know-almost needed to know, and Tempest had to ask. ""Are you okay little one?" Tempest then asked the question which she inwardly thought that the fuzz ball would hate her asking, "What was the cause of that..? And please little one, can I know your name?"

Tempest asked the little fuzzy creature, kinda wanting to know the name of the reptilian who she just took with her.
In the middle of the FireWing tribe.
And was in her home.

Pyrrhus listened to her closely as she spoke to him, he'd pretty much tell her anything she wanted to know at this point. He did after all, feel really bad at his un-guest like behavior.
"I was headed off in rogue territory at the time, Traveling towards the Earthwings... When out of nowhere I saw what nobody ever wanted to see. On the horizon stood an army of dragons with lightning fast movements and obsidian black scales, Nightwings i'm assuming. They struck with great military tactics and strength, plowing over all who opposed them as they took over the rogue land. The things I saw that night nobody should ever see... People were harmed... Nobody died to my knowledge... But the power they had as an empire was so great, nobody should possess such strength... The snarl you did reminded me of that day for some reason... Are you related to their leader Occylus, Is that how you pronounce it? And the names Pyrrhus..." He said looking the dragon in the eyes.

Shortly after he found himself tired from the outbreak of repressed memories. Before he knew it he was curled up at Tempest's paws and he was fast asleep.

Tempest quietly listened to the fuzzy reptilian tell his tale of what had happened. A small frown had formed on her face as she listened though, unsure of if what he was saying was true. Are my allies really like this? Savage and merciless towards even rogues..? Tempest silently thought to herself, but her fears were confirmed that he was, in fact, talking about the dragon which she was going to be going to war with rather soon.

Maybe I have made a wrong choice in trusting him.. Tempest mused, then smiled gently at Pyrrhus, the little fuzz ball who she had grown to care about. She smiled gently to him, but even before she was able to speak, the little fuzz bucket Pyrrhus was already asleep. Gently, she curled her claws around him, shifting him so that he was slightly closer to her rather large, barreled chest. Soon, she too fell asleep on her rather large pillow pile of fluffiness.

Tempest slightly sighed, shifting her weight off from the side of her head and moving it towards the edge of the pillow pile. She was still deep in her sleep, but her friend had come back.

The monstrous mouse had come closer though, heading towards Tempest as it quietly scampered across the ground. It's claws ticked lightly on the surface of the stone, the ears flicking to try and hear anything that could happen. The mouse wandered over towards Tempest, sniffing at the paste which was on the Queens muzzle. And it was rather obvious what it was going to do.

The giant mouse was going to eat it.

The sky was now blue with the sun rising over the horizon. Pyrrhus woke himself up to find he was in the giant Dragoness's claws. Something had woken him up... Something rather... Pesky. It was a giant mouse near her maw. Trying to... Eat something? He didn't know what it was trying to accomplish besides getting itself eaten.

The Reptilian moved out of Temp's claws carefully as to not be cut, but hastily as to catch the rather large mouse. He flinched slightly as he nicked his leg on one of her claw tips. It bled slightly but would stop itself from bleeding if given time, it wouldn't even need a bandage.

He climbed up the Dragoness's chest and ran up her neck. He saw the mouse, he would try and get the dragoness's approval and make her proud. The Reptilian jumped from her head onto the mouse's back, trying to dig his claws into the abnormally large creature. He wanted to make the dragoness approve of him.

Tempest was sound asleep, her soft breathing probably something like a roaring dragon to something as small as Pyrr. She was sleeping, catching up on her sleep as her muscles had ached her from that fight with the insanity dragon. Tempest was semi plagued in her dreams, her mind wandering back to that particular fight. What if Pyrrhus had decided to run instead of help her? She surely wouldn't have been able to get away from the pair.. Her mind was helpfully playing scenarios out for her where it wasn't exactly a cheerful ending.

Something touched her.

Tempest's eyes shot open, seeing a small fuzz ball dive off from her nose startled her-but not as much as the foul smelling scent which dwelt in her nose due to the annoyingly close mouse which had tried to eat the paste.

The mouse squealed at the sudden movement from Pyrr, trying to turn around and run away from the movement. The mouse felt the attackers claws dig through its soft flesh as it squealed and bucked wildly, trying to get the reptilian off its rather large form. It squealed again and if it had thrown him off, it was going to make a break for one of its rather large tunnels.

Pyrrhus grumbled as the mouse had gotten away. Well, maybe it would finally get the notion it wasn't welcome here and needed to leave. However, Now Pyrrhus's fur on his hands were colored crimson red, along with where he got nicked on the leg by Temp's claw from a careless mistake he had done. Although, the rapid movement didn't seem to help the cut much.

He hadn't seen that Tempest was now awake, and as far as he was concerned he wasn't. The little reptilian hastily around the house trying to find a place where he could get cleaned up. In a window in the grand hall of her house he saw a little pond, something which would have to be an extremely rare commodity in these parts. It was clearly used for water, what else would a raging inferno of a dragon use water for?

Pyrrhus climbed a plant next to a door. From here he jumped on the handle, everything he touched getting small pawprints of blood on them, not making the whole none of this ever happend thing to easy... None the less he turned the handle and managed to open the door. From here he slid down the edge and to the ground.

The little reptilian walked cautiously outside to the pond. He washed off all the blood from his hands and the little trickle from his leg. Drying off he quickly went back inside and curled up against the large dragon, acting like none of that ever happened. He sure hoped she didn't see any of the handprints on the plant or the door handl-He left the door open...

Tempest winced slightly as the bleeding mouse had managed to somehow buck Pyrr off from its back. It scampered away and back into the hole where it originated from. However, the trail of blood behind it would cause it to die from blood lose soon enough. It was a being which would stop filling her kitchen with disease and that awful smell. She was about to talk to Pyrr, when he suddenly took off.

She watched him, rather amused on how he quickly ran away.. But she wasn't impressed when he came back clean. Tempest closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep when the little fuzz bucket came back. When he had curled back at her side, she silently raised her head. Then slowly pushed herself to her feet when she was certain that Pyrr had fallen asleep again. She wasn't aware that he was bleeding either.

Tempest wandered around the home, trying to follow where he had gone. A slight line of light surprised her, she was certain that that door was never open. Out of habit, she went to go and shut it-wait why is it pink?

Tempest pushed open the door, the washed off blood did indeed make her crystal clear pond tainted with it. She sighed quietly, before she began to scoop the water out with a bucket to water her plants. It was no good for drinking now, or anything. Tempest made a mental note to tell Pyrr not to wash off in the pool itself.

Pyrrhus got up shortly after the dragoness had left. He began slowly climbing up the counter in the kitchen. His stomach growled for some food, he hadn't eaten anything in about a day now. He was disappointed to find there were no scraps of food anywhere that he could eat.

He walked along the countertop, surely there must be something that he could get... But there was nothing for him to find. Sitting against the wall the reptilian held his aching stomach. He his pack was in the bedroom and he didn't have the energy to climb down the counter top. He waiting for the dragon's return, she would surely have food for him.

Tempest finished clearing out the pool, her paws hissing slightly as the remnants of the water sizzled on her hands. She then glances at the pool, satisfied that it would eventually refill itself as all the liquid had been drained. Tempest activated the small little 'pump' which would do this, before heading back into the kitchen to check on the little fuzz ball-wait, no, to check on Pyrrhus.

She was a little surprised to see him on the counter top, seemingly pained as he sat there. He looked like he was waiting for her to come back, but she couldn't figure out why he would be waiting for her... wait. They were in a kitchen.

Kitchens mean good. He was hungry.

Tempest almost facepawed at her poor and horrible manners, giving him a small smile, "I take it you are hungry Pyrrhus?" She inquired, saying his name - although she didn't pronounce it quite properly. Her own stomach growled slightly as she asked, making her laugh slightly. "It seems I am too-What sorts of foods do you eat?" Tempest made her way over to a giant pantry-one which Pyrr could never have opened. She pulled the doors open, the smells of many MANY different types of food coming from there. She chuckles, "They sure did know that I was coming back soon.. I was only gone for around three days and they managed to keep up the food supply for me.. those crazy chefs.. they think I can't cook!"

Pyrrhus's mouth watered as Temp opened the cabinet doors. The scent of so many foods filled the air, it was heavenly. He looked inside from where he was... He'd never seen so much food! Especially just for one person! This was enough food to feed him for... A year at most. It was overwhelming.

He'd take anything at the moment, he just needed food and fast. His stomach growled and ached as the strong scent of food lingered in the air. If the reptilian wouldn't die from it he would of jumped off the countertop right now and dug into the pantry of food.

Which brung up another question... Why did she have cooks... And suck a nice house... And a pond in firewing territory? She was treated like royalty here... But surely she couldn't be, true royalty would've killed him by now for being a pest...

Tempest smiled lightly to herself, really rather amused at the situation. But seeming she didn't really get a response from the starving Pyrr, aside from the fact that he was almost drooling at the smell, she just gathered a variety of foods for him. They were smaller, and she almost covered the bench in a giant array of food for him to choose from. They ranged from anything from nuts to meat, and even some veggies there too.

"I hope that there's something there you like. The chefs go overboard with the food they make for me." Tempest said, rather amused and annoyed as well. She takes a few things out of the pantry for herself, and they were at least 5x Pyrrs size. She carried 5 of them, but they would barely fill the giant dragons appetite.

"Pyrrhus, one day you'll understand that when you stay here with me, or if you choose to, so many dragons will come around here to help me with things. It's just.. something that you will need to get use to if you stay with their Queen." Tempest comments, but didn't realize the implications of what she just said. She had no idea what it would do to Pyrr to find it out.

Pyrrhus waited eagerly to get his food. He slowly climbed down to the bench as he nearly jumped on all the food. It was quite the sight to see... All his food just for him... But just as he was about to dig in his ears perked up. He listened to the dragon speak, His blood ran cold... She was a queen... THE queen... It all made sense now... HE WAS GOING TO DIE HERE!

The Reptilian practically jumped from the bench and onto the ground in a roll. He sprinted as fast as he could, granted on an empty stomach it wasn't the fastest he could go. Sprinting into the original room he had been in be climbed a bookshelf rather rapidly and managed to get to the top shelf. He hope'd she wouldn't find him. Maybe after a while she will give up and he could get away, escaping death's grip once more.

He evenly moved out a row of books and sat behind it, his stomach growled in anger as he hadn't had any of the food. If the queen didn't kill him, starvation sure would.

Tempest was extremely confused when a look of horror and worry appeared on his face. She had frowned, opening her mouth to try and speak to him, but before she could, it was already to late. The reptilian vaulted off from the bench and ran away, which wasn't very fast compared to how fast dragons could do. But still, she whimpered, placing the pawful of foods onto the bench. She knew he hadn't eaten, and she scrapped a few of the items from her bench into her paws. It would be enough to satisfy the little reptilian, or so she hoped.

Tempest lowed her nose to the ground, sniffing it carefully to try and pick up his scent. When she did, she slowly followed it into the room where she had first put him down. Tempest looked around, whimpering when she couldn't find him or pick up his scent anymore. Her heart seemed to crush itself within her chest as she looks down to the paw holding the food. She sighed. It seemed futile to even try. She probably scared the reptilian..

"I am sorry little one.. I didn't mean to frighten you." Tempest said quietly, her tone of voice sown with remorse and sadness. She wasn't angry, but bitterly hating herself for hurting him. She looked around, looking for anything out of the ordinary. A book on the top shelf looked slightly out of line, so she figured she may as well leave the food there for him if he wanted it.. And that's what she did before she sat back down, looking to the ground as her flames slightly died down to show her miserable mood.

Pyrrhus silently took the food and ate. When he took the food he saw the look on the face of the dragoness... She was sad... Miserable... He was a damn fool. He put a cliche on a dragon that clearly just wanted the best for him... And he made her feel awful. Thinking back to the desert and what not she had a clear chance to kill him, and she didn't...

After finishing his meal he quietly got down from the shelf as the dragoness was looking at the ground. He quietly, ever so slightly began to creep towards her. He hoped she would forgive him for his irresponsible and rash actions. He would do anything for her forgiveness at this point. If he had to walk across the desert with no water he'd do it.

The Reptilian walked up to the dragon's front leg, hugging it. He was a real jerk, and couldn't stand to see her sad like this because of his stupid actions...

She silently sat down on the floor, her eyes focusing on her paw as she scratched away at the dust on the floor. I need to clean that up a bit... Tempest mused silently to herself. But she was in turmoil, hurting the creature that she had done so much for, accidentally doing something which she didn't know they would ever forgive her for. She closed her eyes, exhaling quietly as she tried to calm her racing pulse.

Tempest felt something impact her leg. She almost jumped in surprise as her eyes opened again. The small little creature was hugging her paw. She blinked slightly, before looking down at him. Tempest gently nuzzled him, her tongue licking his fur.

"I'm sorry if I made you think that I would hurt you... I never wanted to do that since the moment which I saw you in the desert. I couldn't let you die there, it would have been horrible, which is why I did try to help you. I only have wanted the best for you little Pyrrhus, and you seemed to be alright with it eventually. . . Why did you hate me for being the Queen? I am still the same dragon I was when you met me." Tempest said, quietly so that she didn't burst his ear drums.

Pyrrhus was ashamed of himself. "I know... It's just... It's complicated. You have so much power over me naturally, and now you have hundreds of people over me now too. It didn't register at the time that you are still the same dragon. It's scary being this small, you could literally accidentally roll over me in your sleep and I'd be crushed, if you didn't see me and stepped on me i'd be crushed. You kinda get the point, It's dangerous for me." He said trying to explain his reasoning.

"But that's not okay for what I've done, I've hurt you and i'm sorry, I was a jerk. It won't happen again, Dragoness-er, Tempest, Please forgive me." He said in a rather sorrowful tone as he looked at the floor, saddened he had made Tempest feel bad.

Re: We Don't Know What To Call This But Its Happening (Private with Pyrrhus)

Tempest silently listened to him. He did indeed have a fair few things which he had to be careful of-so many more than what she ever had in her past. Tempest didn't have the fear of being crushed-especially considering she was probably one of the largest FireWings around in these parts. "I hadn't considered things like that for you little Pyrrhus. I should have thought of how things may have come from for someone of your height..." Tempest explained, still quiet so that she didn't kill his ears. "Don't worry about me-I'm strong enough to deal with a little distrust, which is something which I completely understand."

She gently nuzzled Pyrr, trying to think of something which would be able to protect the little fuzz bucket. Slowly a smile crept onto her face as she stood up-extremely careful to avoid the reptilian. "Would you mind helping me move these to the pool? I know that you know where it is.." Tempest said with a bit of a smile, her teeth carefully biting into the pillows so she didn't break them.

Pyrrhus eagerly went into the kitchen and took a cushion. he slowly dragged it to the door where the pool was and then went back to get another. He managed to drag about 4 over until he actually worked his way into the giant stack. His fifth try however did not go as planned.

Upon taking a cushion out, he was only pulling from the bottom, causing a huge mountain of cushions to fall onto the little reptilian. When he opened his eyes he saw tiny cracks of light... He was trapped under the cushions... Great... Hopefully Tempest wouldn't sleep on him this time.

He struggled to get free, eventually giving up and laying there stuck. He could only wait for Tempest to come and free him from the dark catacombs of the pillow mound. Whimpering slightly he quickly became bored with himself. The little reptilian scratched at a pillow, accidentally cutting it open.

Quickly going silent Pyrrhus waited, thinking over in his what she would do to him. He could only imagine what would happen to him. Pillows are a rarity to him, he never had them in his life and only saw dragons with them, this was the first time he would actually feel them. And this was the first time he had ruined one, and to time it would be a huge punishment.

Tempest placed her pile of cushions onto the floor near the pool, thankful that the tiny little reptilian was helping her move them. In reality, she probably could have moved them all in one hit, but Tempest didn't mind the little reptilian trying to help her. Pyrrhus was doing the best he could, and that was all she could ask of him. She didn't plan on asking any more.

Tempest came back into the room, her teeth sinking into the soft pillows. She was gentle though, making sure not to damage them as getting them made in the FireWing kingdom was a bit of a pain for her. Tempest transported the next batch of pillows, then frowns. She hadn't seen Pyrrhus for quite some time. A sigh escaped her, where had this little creature gotten to now?

Eventually, she just decided to move all the pillows by herself. If Pyrrhus wanted to help, he could, but she was just frustrated. All the dragoness wanted was the best for the little fuzz ball, and he barely had acknowledged what she had done. Tempest roughly bit into the last few cushions-but growled as she left one behind-the one on Pyrrhus. Her teeth snagged in the pillows, tearing a few holes in them as she dumped them in the new pile. Of course this stupid creature just decides to abandon me... Whatever, he can go if he really wants to, I've done what I can and if he just doesn't care, so be it! Tempest snarled to herself, not knowing that Pyrrhus was actually still there.

The little reptilian waited for Tempest to move the cushions. It seemed like ages for Pyrrhus but quite frankly it couldn't of been more than an hour. He waited and waited until suddenly the pillows seemed to get lighter on the small helpless reptilian. Shortly after this it got to the point of it being light enough to move, however the problem was he was in the center, so he couldn't pick it up...

Slowly and steadily he began to move out from under pillow. He felt like he made so much progress but the pillow just managed to slide on his back. The Reptilian saw he made some progress to the edge, but soon found himself in the hallway. The pillow had stayed on his back... Great... Now he was just stuck in a different room...

Well... At least Tempest would save him... Right! ...Right...? He wasn't so sure anymore... It had been a long time now... How had she not come back to get this last pillow? Was she going to leave him here? Did she even know that he was here? Struggling to get free?

Inwardly, the Queen felt sad. She had done so much for the fuzz bucket, and now he was gone. She probably wouldn't see him again, but Tempest had hoped to do a few things with him before he had gone. A sigh escaped her maw as she trudged out from the pool room, her flame tipped tail seemingly faltering as she was sad. Her head was hung low-but she stopped.

A small pillow had seemingly dropped from her pile and was on the floor. She sighed, picking it up with her teeth and took it to the pool room-dumping the pillow on the rest of it. Tempest allowed a small growl to form in her throat. "I didn't mean for him to leave.. I was just trying to be nice.." She mumbled quietly, her voice disheartened once again as she cooled her scales drastically.

She placed her paw into the water, her scales hissing and seemingly cracking as the dragoness pushed herself into the water. A small growl escaped her as the water washed onto the still fresh wounds, and the liquid also seemingly freaked her scales as they came into contact with it. They almost seemed to crack as they did, causing Tempest to slightly bite her tongue as pain flooded her vision. To try and clear it, she lowered and shook her head-and hit the side of the pool. Hard.

In but a few seconds, the dragons body collapsed, the water cascading from the pool as her neck and head hit the tiled floor around the water. She didn't move.
